Donation Options
The best way to help LGBTQ+ of FIRST is to fund the Rainbow Stem Alliance through its GoFundMe. This helps with operation costs of running a nonprofit organization and helps us be able to provide more pins. Pins are also available online through Andymark for $5.00, a purchase that also helps raise money for the Rainbow STEM Alliance.
Staff Tiers of Involvement
Student Administrators, or Admin, are the executive decision-making body of the LGBTQ+ of FIRST, with the final vote on all important topics.
Moderators are a special staff role separate from the main LGBTQ+ of FIRST staff body specifically aimed at helping govern and maintain the Discord server.
Representatives are the primary outreach force of the LGBTQ+ of FIRST, representing the initiative and planning/creating projects.
Ambassadors are spokespersons who represent the LGBTQ+ of FIRST at competitions.
- Oversee all operations and responsibilities of the organization
- Only LGBTQ+ students who are currently members of an FRC or FTC Team may hold this position
- Admin Applications are open periodically here. Announcements will be made when they are open

- Any member of the LGBTQ+ of FIRST Discord server may apply at any time here.

- Attend weekly meetings, contribute ideas, and serve as a legislative body to the Admins
- Any member of the LGBTQ+ of FIRST may apply at any time here
Ambassadors are spokespersons who represent the LGBTQ+ of FIRST at competitions.
- Distribute LGBTQ+ of FIRST pins, pronouns ribbons, and any other assets
- Any member of the LGBTQ+ of FIRST may apply at any time here
Partner Team Tiers of Involvement
Bronze Tier Partners are similar to that of the Ambassador staff position.
Silver Tier Partners are those involved a step above the Bronze Tier
Gold Tier Partners are those who go above and beyond in the LGBTQ+ of FIRST
- Bronze Teams commit to promoting The LGBTQ+ of FIRST at competitions and other events by handing out pins, displaying promotional materials in their pit area, and answering questions about The LGBTQ+ of FIRST
- Bronze Teams, and all members of said teams, commit to acting as supporters for The LGBTQ+ of FIRST at all times
- Interested Partner Teams for any tier may apply at any time here
Silver Tier Partners are those involved a step above the Bronze Tier
- Silver Teams additionally commit to either or optionally both of the following:
- Hosting at least one official LGBTQ+ of FIRST meetup per season at a regional, district, or district championship competition, or at a public community center.
- Printing out professionally made and approved LGBTQ+ of FIRST brochures, business cards, or other future materials.
Gold Tier Partners are those who go above and beyond in the LGBTQ+ of FIRST
- Gold Teams additionally commit to host at least one original LGBTQ+ of FIRST themed presentation or event (meetups not included) approved by the LGBTQ+ of FIRST Admins per season. Examples include: roundtable discussions, presentations, seminars, community service events, and others.
Discord Server
The LGBTQ+ of FIRST Discord server is just one of many endeavors of this organization. To ensure a safe environment for all and keep our community engaged, we enlist moderators. Moderators are trustworthy and reputable members of the community that anyone can feel comfortable coming to. If you are interested, apply here.
